Thirteen Villages & One Goal...

It's possible to give a sigh of relief when the terrible news comes that some massive housing development is planned - in a village on the other side of Newton.  However, it’s no good thinking that it’s okay if overdevelopment happens in another village, as long as it doesn’t happen in this   village, because the urbanization of Newton will continue until residents in all the villages band together to stop it. Across Newton, small groups of neighbors are working against the powerful forces trying to transform our garden city into a concrete city of high-density housing projects and over-sized McMansions on treeless lots. Let’s help each other.  Together, we can shape Newton’s destiny. Below are the names of Newton's 13  villages.  Watch this space for  these names to connect to links, as we are currently  updating  a page for each village.
